Chinese FM Wang Yi Visits Austria, Meets President Van der Bellen and Holds Talks with Austrian Foreign Minister

范德贝伦请王毅转达对习近平主席的诚挚问候，并愉快回忆起2018年对中国的国事访问。他表示，中国是奥地利在亚洲的重要合作伙伴，两国关系持续良好发展。奥方坚定奉行一个中国政策，立场不会动摇。明年将迎来奥中建交55周年，奥方愿同中方共同庆祝，并进一步深化经贸投资、绿色发展、旅游文化等领域的合作。奥方赞赏中国在应对气候变化、推动绿色发展方面取得的显著成绩，愿与中方共同维护多边主义，促进世界和平与发展。 President Van der Bellen conveyed sincere greetings to President Xi Jinping and recalled with pleasure his state visit to China in 2018. He affirmed that China is Austria’s important partner in Asia and that bilateral ties have enjoyed steady growth. Austria firmly adheres to the one-China policy, which will not be shaken under any circumstances. With the 55th anniversary of diplomatic ties next year, Austria looks forward to joint celebrations and closer cooperation in trade, green development, tourism, and culture. He praised China’s achievements in climate action and green development, and expressed Austria’s readiness to uphold multilateralism with China and jointly advance world peace and development.
王毅转达习近平主席的亲切问候，表示2018年两国元首共同确立中奥友好战略伙伴关系，推动双边关系进入新阶段。在元首外交引领下，中奥务实合作和人文交流不断深化。双方应珍惜半个多世纪的合作成果，以明年建交55周年为契机，拓展绿色经济等新兴领域合作，为友好战略伙伴关系注入新内涵。 Wang Yi conveyed President Xi’s warm greetings and noted that the establishment of the China–Austria Friendly Strategic Partnership in 2018 opened a new chapter in bilateral relations. Under the guidance of head-of-state diplomacy, practical cooperation and cultural exchanges have steadily deepened. Both sides should cherish the achievements of the past five decades, and take the 55th anniversary next year as an opportunity to expand cooperation in green economy and other emerging areas, injecting new vitality into the partnership.
王毅强调，今年是二战胜利和联合国成立80周年。中方将举办系列纪念活动，以弘扬二战正确史观、铭记牺牲、捍卫二战胜利成果，并携手各国共同构建人类命运共同体。中方愿与奥方加强多边协作，为世界和平与发展作出贡献。 Wang Yi underlined that this year marks the 80th anniversary of the victory of World War II and the founding of the United Nations. China will host commemorative events to honor the correct historical view of WWII, and China stands ready to enhance multilateral cooperation with Austria for world peace and development.
访问期间，王毅还与奥地利外长迈因尔—赖辛格举行了会谈，就深化双边合作及共同关心的国际和地区问题交换了意见。 During the visit, Wang Yi also held talks with Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg, with discussions focusing on strengthening bilateral cooperation and international and regional issues of shared concern.
