Han said the sovereignty and security of countries in the Middle East, including those in the Gulf, should be respected. He also urged the relevant country to stop threatening Cuba with force and to lift its blockade and sanctions. Calling on major powers to take special responsibility for international peace and security, Han said countries, large and small, are equal members of the international community and that world affairs should be handled through consultation.
